Let's get the best military minds here and let's try and work out the plan.
Last week, we saw Starmer with Macron at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
And it looks like the UK and France are still leading this mission, but they're trying to get a lot of other voices here.
And they're basically saying, I mean, this is John Healy, the defence secretary, saying participants would try and translate diplomatic consensus into
into a joint plan to safeguard freedom of navigation.
It's not really clear, though, whether they're trying to convince Iran or America at this point.
Well, actually, since we've been recording, Pippa Crearer at The Guardian, who broke the story of the vetting procedures last Thursday, has just tweeted that Morgan McSweeney, the prime minister's former chief of staff, has been summoned before the Foreign Affairs Select Committee last night.
This was being mooted.
We knew that Emily Thornberry, the chair, wanted to speak to him yesterday.
and we now have a date.
McSweeney will appear next Tuesday to respond to the allegations that Ollie Robbins raised yesterday.
Downing Street put huge pressure on the civil service to approve that appointment for Peter Mandelson.
It is very unusual, this.
It's hard to kind of convey this.
If you ask... Most people in the country won't know what McSweeney looks like.

Even journalists around Westminster...
will have had sparse actual conversations with him.
They might have had exchanges.
They might have had messages.
