They don't even count them on the March Madness bracket.
Do they even count?
So now the question becomes, do the play-in teams even count?
And how crazy is it to think that maybe the Clippers catch fire and give somebody trouble coming out of the play-in?
Maybe Steph Curry and the Warriors catch fire and give people problems coming into the regular playoffs.
Maybe one of these play-in teams catches fire and gives a team that was deserving of being in the playoffs โ
an early departure ticket.
I find that to be kind of... It's entertaining, but I don't know that I like it.
Well, here's the problem I have with the NBA playoff format is there's no real... And I guess it's a good and a bad thing.
The good thing is you know at the end of it all the best team wins because you've got to beat a team in a seven-game series all the way through.
I guess the part that...
What I'm not crazy about is when there was the five-game series where you had the Dikembe Mutombo Nuggets team beat the Sonics back then, because it was a shorter series, there was more of a chance that you could catch somebody who was a higher seed.
And nowadays, it's just so difficult to do, to beat a team in a seven-game series four times if you're the quote-unquote worst of the two teams.
And so even though one of these teams could get in โ and look, Miami did it a couple of years ago where they made a run and they got hot.
But I just โ I look at some of these teams with the opportunity.
And the one I'm most interested in is Charlotte because it's new and they've been on such a tear.
But, man, Golden State's been banged up.
