That stuff is probably going to do more damage to the regime than hitting them with munitions that we want to save for other things.
There could be other phases to this, too, covert stuff or what have you.
But I think the president's being smart here to not get goaded in to a conflict where we start dropping more weapons and put ourselves potentially in a tight spot further on down the line when we should be looking to replenish and reload.
