That move to Grimsby completely changed my career.

So I've got an awful lot to thank those people for.

And sometimes a football time is a big thing.

And I went there at a good time.

The club had just been relegated, so it wasn't.

But I mean, in terms of, there was a big reset, new ownership.

And we just seemed to, we clicked for that season.

And we were on the start of, yeah, we'd begun something special for two years, I'd say.

And then when did you get your first...

international call up?

I'm terrible with years, but I got called up a couple years, maybe about four years before I signed for Grimsby.

Yeah, then kind of went to Australia, come back to Grimsby, I was there for two years.

And then basically, as I was leaving Grimsby in that summer, I got my next call up.

So I'd had

maybe a break of about four or five years from the international setup.

And like I said, it was like one of those, New Zealand was obviously always on my mind and always kind of part of my thinking.

But when you're kind of having that sort of dip in your career, you have to just reset and focus on kind of kickstarting your club football before worrying about the New Zealand stuff.

And then, yeah, everything was going well.

So then kind of naturally you find yourself back in the fold.
