I think the pitch selection is starting to go a little bit, and I think he's trying to make stuff happen and
Obviously, the lineup's kind of been decimated by injuries, and he wants to be that guy to carry the team.
I think just pitch selection, teams are definitely going to make sure that he's not going to beat them, per se.
But the one thing I've always said about Vlad, and it's kind of a double-edged sword because he will have a little bit higher average because he hits the ball lower than I would say most teams
elite hitters and he hits a lot of balls on the ground.
To me, I was encouraged at one of his bats last night.
He got a pitch down in the way and he was able to stay on it and hit a line drive to center field.
It ended up being an out.
But to me, he's got to get back to using the big part of the field, get back to using right center field, left center, center, and then let the off speeds, which they're going to throw, let them speed them up and when they hang it,
you know, that's what he's going to deposit more into the seats.
And that's the hard part about it all.
It's like, you got to let the game come to you and let that happen.
You can't try to force it too much, but you got to put yourself in the right mindset to do that.
If that makes sense.
I mean, you definitely bounce ideas off guys, off what they're seeing, like your teammates per se.
Like, hey, what do you see from the pitching standpoint?
Yeah.
Or if there was, you know, like for me, I always loved Batista like when I was coming up.
So I would pick his brain about things that he would do and see if I could implement that into my own at times.
But I have one of my good friends who ended up working for me and him and I played together in AAA.
