Even if you know they were maybe not for you for whatever reason, you just remember, oh, they had a good vibe, so yeah, they can stay on my Instagram.

And that was kind of Sam to me for a while.

But as I said, other than the odd interactions here and there, we never really properly spoke again.

Until those pictures pinged into my inbox on his wedding day.

Now Sam knew about my pages and my involvement in Married at First Sight.

And as I found out Sam was on the show, I knew I'd likely be seeing him around at some point soon.

So I decided I'm going to send him a message.

Now Sammy, I wrote, our paths are inevitably going to cross soon.

And when I'm reported on you guys, you know, saying there's a gay couple on the show or if I see you out and about while filming, rest assured I won't mention I was previously chatting.

I'm just going to report with excitement, happy at this finally inclusion and wishing the best for you both.

I just want to put your mind at ease in case you wondered.

Best of luck with everything though, like Chris seems like a good match and I'll be rallying the gays to back you both.

I sent that message on August 26th last year and I never got a reply until a couple of weeks ago, which I will get to later.

But that lack of reply during filming, I fully expected and I was fine with that.

I just didn't want Sam fearing like I'd one day jump out as they're filming with my phone like, oh, hey, Sam, good to finally meet you after talking while producers and that are there.

And then they'd then be assuming he's leaking shit to me or it could cause drama with Chris or whatever.

Like, I just didn't want that because the day I sent that message, the day those pictures of them filming the wedding were taken, I genuinely felt like, damn, I really hope these two make things work.

And not just because I knew Sam is lovely, but because a successful gay love story on a show of this size would be a win for all of us gays out there.

So yeah, as I said, the day I sent that, I really was hopeful for them.

But then, the next morning, as Chris and Sam were waking up as newlyweds, and I was waking up alone and still single in my bed, my phone started ringing.
