I guess, you know, the fact that I was fortunate enough from Kelowna, got to play here for the Kelowna Rockets, my 19-year-old year, hosting the Memorial Cup, to end my junior career, winning it in my hometown, family and everybody here, that was kind of the pinnacle of my junior career for sure.
But one of those highlights that I think about
probably one of the biggest moments in my hockey career, even though playing in the NHL.
So pretty fortunate to have played here in this great organization and happy to be back a part of it again now.
Yeah, probably.
A majority of guys, for sure.
Like you said, it's a great hockey town, great facilities, great organization, but then you get the city on top of it.
Back when we were playing, most of the guys that finished the season stayed here in the summers.
You got everything from the lakes to the golf courses, the mountains.
Pretty special place to be able to live, pretty special place to play, for sure.
It's really hard to actually explain and put into words.
Unless you're there and you see it and you feel it, it's amazing.
I mean, I remember when I first got traded there, we won round one.
I think we beat Boston in game seven, and we're coming out of the parking garage, and they told us we had to hang out there for a little while, and I asked one of the security guys what was going on.
He said they had to call extra police down.
People from outside were trying to break into the Bell Center.
They're trying to come into the building.
The city downtown had been shut down.
And I started asking a few of the other guys, I go, this is only round one.
Like, what happens when you win a Stanley Cup?
