I keep looking at other midfields like Adelaide's and even Geelong's to an extent and think, gee, is that midfield going to be able to compete with Brisbane?

So, yes, they're only 3-2 and they started the season zipping to, but for mine, I'll have Brisbane and you can have the rest.

Well, I think it already is because they've been to three grand finals.

They've been competing for years and years before that at prelim level as well.

That's not easy to do.

We don't give teams enough credit for that.

But, I mean, there's a world where... And I don't know that there's a bigger fan of Zach Bailey around than me.

There's a world where they barely even feel his departure from an on-field perspective because they've got Rayner and Loman and Cameron and these guys.

Like Anibal, the high-end draft pick, is not getting a game in that team and is only just in that team.

Levi Ashcroft's still having to play a role that's not necessarily suited to him.

So it's an embarrassment of riches.

And yes, we can probably go over the top with the fact, oh, they're just going to compete for the next three or four or five flags.

But from an age perspective...

Aside from Zorko and maybe Neil, the rest of them are in the peak years of their career.

It definitely helped.

They were already on their way.

They'd already recruited Neil and Charlie Cameron and, you know, guys who didn't really have any ties or links to Brisbane itself.

But, yeah, certainly living there throughout a winter as well.

I mean...

you couldn't wait to get out of bed and get downstairs to the pool and to the beach and to the cafes in southeast Queensland.
