And it's quite nice to hear it.
I mean, it's sort of such a moment in my life playing him.
But also, I think that scene is so important in terms of the journey of the fictional character of Prince Charles in the show.
But I think what Peter Morgan does so well is he takes the kind of paradox of power and family in The Crown and he tries to pull it apart and empathize and understand it.
You know, right at the beginning, I had a phone call from my agent saying that they'd like to meet you
to play Prince Charles and the Crown.
And my initial reaction was, no, thank you.
And that was a kind of personal feeling.
And it came from the fact that I'm a Republican in the British sense, not the American sense.
