He has that group really connected and they all understand what they're trying to achieve.

They go out there and they do it together and I think probably no one expected Grubby

you know, the emergence of how well Tanner Boyd has played this season, that high level of consistency and maybe years gone past, you know, like even last year, you could understand why they, because they were top four for most of the year, but you could understand why they slid late.

They lose Barnett.

They lose Metcalf who was leading WM.

You sort of go, okay, you ran out of steam, you lost your halfback and your co-captain in the middle.

You can understand that when other teams like Penrith were coming to get them and other teams were rising up.

But I think that experience, if anything, it hardened them.

And then you get a guy like Tenner coming in, taking control of the team, and now you have options.

Now you're not so worried about rushing Metcalf back from a hamstring injury because you've got faith in Tenner and trust that he can get out there and get the team around the park.

And sometimes they're hard headaches because you go, okay, what are we going to do with Metcalf now when he comes back?

Because Harris DeVita and Tenner Boyd are going so well.

But they're good headaches to have as a coach.
