I think he'll get there.

As with any rookie, it's disappointing that he's injured because just as he's beginning to start to figure things out or realize what he needs to figure out, he's not playing because he's injured.

And I think defensively, he's probably been a little bit better than he was built to be because heading into the draft, he was noted correctly as someone who didn't play much defense at Texas, perhaps because he had such a gigantic offensive responsibility there.

As his coach told me, I think his defense was better than expected, but there's no good time for an injury, and this kind of slows his development for sure.
