Then got approached by Steve Daines a couple of years ago, explaining, hey, it looks like this election is going to come down to one U.S. Senate seat and we really need to beat Tester. Will you run? And his answer was no. And then Dane started explaining it more like, look, we need a solid candidate to go against this guy. You're a SEAL.
