So then that led me to probably the movie Navy Seals with Charlie Sheen, which I watched at least a thousand times. thinking that it was going to be exactly what the community was going to be like. It was not. Even though I did get to wear a flight suit doing CQC in my early days, and it was horrendous. They are flame retardant, which also means sweat insulating. They are the worst.

Yeah. Save it for the Smurfs. But yeah, I know that he would have hoped that it ended with me, but I just- I couldn't think about anything else. But for whatever reason, that idea, it unlocks... this something. And then people just drive down that path. I heard it over and over again as an instructor. I heard it over and over again in the cage rooms, talking with guys and they're like, I don't know. It's just all I ever wanted to do. Like, why did it grab us like that, but not other people? I don't have an answer for it.
