But now something was different.

She was absolutely drawn to it.

She needed to own the home.

She didn't even think about looking at another place because the cage was calling to her.

Vanessa learned that the last owner had hanged himself in the home, but that didn't deter her from wanting it, because within weeks of seeing it, Vanessa bought the home for 144,000 pounds, and by February 2004, she moved into the home with her friend Nicole.

And right away, the two felt an intense energy as soon as they started moving in.

Nicole said, "'It felt heavy.

It's like walking in jelly.'"

and it didn't take long for frightening things to start happening.

On move-in day, Vanessa was standing in the kitchen looking out the window at the infamous coffin alley when she heard footsteps approaching.

She turned around expecting to see Nicole, but she was frozen in fear when she saw what was really behind her.

A massive shadowy figure stood in the doorway.

It had a human-like shape.

It didn't have a visible face, but Vanessa could feel it staring at her.

Then it slowly faded away right before her very eyes.
