Even if they somehow missed it, there were no footprints or smears anywhere, so none of them had stepped in the dark liquid, which almost seemed impossible.

They wondered if an injured animal had somehow gotten inside, but every window was shut and none of them had heard anything, smelled anything, or seen anything before the husband pointed it out.

The blood had simply appeared where nothing had been moments before.

And these were far from the only unnerving experiences visitors had at the house.

One time Vanessa's cousin was standing in the kitchen when she felt soft, deliberate taps on the back of her head and an icy dread spread through her whole body.

When she turned around, no one was there, but containers of sugar that had been on the counter were now sitting on the floor, as if someone had neatly placed them there.

Another eerie event occurred when Vanessa's friend Jackie was over.

She opened the door at the bottom of the stairs and froze.

A man in brown clothes caked in dirt was standing at the top of the stairs.

Jackie bravely made her way up the stairs as the man quietly watched her.

She reached the top and walked right through him in order to get to the bathroom, and when she turned around, the man was gone.

A few days later, Jackie was at the home again.

She was standing outside next to Coffin Alley when she looked into the kitchen window.

Inside, she saw an entire funeral procession of pale figures walking through the house.

One by one, the ghosts passed through the kitchen's walls, making their way to Coffin Alley.

After all of these unexplained events, friends stopped wanting to come to the house.

But one person wasn't worried.

Nicole had been seeing her boyfriend for a few months when he decided to move in.

And at first, he was a total skeptic and didn't really believe all the stories that Nicole and Vanessa had told him.
