The government doesn't actually exist, you know?
What is the government?
Is it a building?
Is it a group of people?
Is it a location?
Is it an idea?
What is the government?
Ultimately, no one can say.
It's kind of like Alan Watts said, you know, he said, what is reality?
Ultimately, no one can say because it isn't words nor things.
Yeah, you know, it's funny.
One of my clients, his name's Steve Lindsey.
He's sold 500 million records worldwide.
He's taught Dr. Dre how to play piano, and he discovered Bruno Mars, things like that.
In fact, Bruno Mars used to sleep on his couch.
And he always told me one day...
you know like uh when it comes to achievement and the science and the mathematics of achievement and he said josh you know the um he said the geniuses think they're imposters and the imposters think they're geniuses and so that's something that always stuck with me because i feel like i haven't done anything you know so when you read all that stuff i'm just like you know um you know i'm just me i'm just we're getting started you know and we're here to just make a positive change in the world that's interesting have you ever felt like you had imposter syndrome
like you didn't belong imposter syndrome um not necessarily like as far as an imposter but i always felt that um you know it's so funny because going back to that quote you know benjamin franklin said that genius is simply a greater aptitude for patience so if you're you know patient enough you can actually become a genius in order to learn or do anything
And then Benjamin Franklin also, the reason why I'm wearing this security shirt is, and I've never worked a security job in my life, and I've never, I don't want to say never, but I did work a few jobs as a teenager, but I've always had that entrepreneurial spirit.
The reason I'm wearing this shirt today on this wonderful podcast is because, as a reminder, from Benjamin Franklin, actually, which is that if we trade our freedom for security, then we neither deserve nor freedom or security.
