positive coverage that simply affirms what they're trying to say.
But what you've seen with this administration is that they have completely neutered much of the mainstream media, both because of the settlements and because, to be honest, these media companies, the journalism piece of it is just a part of their business.
They've got other business they want to do that they need regulatory relief for.
They need to be able to do mergers and acquisitions.
They've got other businesses before the government.
And so they're all sort of delivering coverage that is watered down from what you would get had they been, you know, in the situation they were before Donald Trump got elected, right?
They don't feel they can be as tough.
So you get what CBS is doing, where without sources, you know, two anonymous sources tell them that the ICE agent who shot Renee Nicole Good had internal injuries.
That's good enough for Barry Weiss.
It wasn't good enough for her when 60 Minutes had a thoroughly legal and thoroughly completed story that was ready to go that didn't have enough terms.
So what's happening is,
the mainstream is knuckling under.
And so what you're getting is what happens quite frankly in Israel, where when I was working at MSNBC, the major networks could not go into Gaza without the permission of the Israeli government.
And the coverage was so limited and truncated so that only the story that the Netanyahu administration wanted out would get out through mainstream media.
How did so many people become outraged for what was happening in Gaza?
It was independent journalists.
It was individual Palestinians who in some cases weren't even formally journalists.
They were just live streaming their own murders, their own deaths, their own bombings, the bombings of their communities.
That independent journalism shook an entire nation from left to right, from MAGA to progressive are in many ways now on the same page when it comes to Gaza.
They were outraged equally.
