All right, so multiple reports coming out now that the New York Rangers, first of all, the reports from, it sounds like, New York are the price on Vincent Trocek, the center that we all think the Wild really wants, that the price tag is very high.
No surprise there.
The price tag is very high on a lot of guys.
The report from The Athletic, and in particular the two guys that cover The Wild and do a really good job, Michael Russo and Joe Smith, is that The Wild's hopes of getting Trocek are fading.
So with all of that being said, I did see an unconfirmed report today that one of the sticking points, and we talked about this, it was obvious.
One of the sticking points is the Rangers are asking for Wild third line center rookie Danilo Urov to be included, that the Wild we think is offering Charlie Strammel.
The Wild is offering their 2027 first and one of probably three prospects from the defensive pool at all.
Iowa.
And we haven't talked about this age, but I want to throw one thing before I turn it over to you to get your take.
One interesting thing is Chris Drury, who is under immense pressure.
I'm not sure he keeps his job.
The Rangers GM, who, by the way, I'm not sure deserves to keep his job.
So I don't feel bad for him at all.
But one of the interesting things, and I've seen this referenced, you know, Charlie Stromo was drafted by the Wild in what, 2023?
He has remained in college since then.
He has to sign his contract, so his first contract, by August 15th of this year, or he becomes a UFA.
And if the Rangers, if he gets traded, now he's from here.
