Those are two recent big ones.
What we say is if you tolerate mediocrity, you become a mediocre company.
And is that what you want to do?
They're in all the bodily function areas, which is the bathrooms, the break rooms, and the copy rooms.
I wanted to put them into the stalls, but didn't do that there.
So we just have them by the mirrors in the bathroom.
Never came close to breaking either of them.
Going public, I remember in the beginning of Epic, looking up good companies and reading what their shareholders wrote about those good companies.
The shareholders were only interested in return on equity, not what value the company was giving to the world.
And they were vicious about the company whenever there wasn't the return on equity that they wanted.
And I thought, who wants owners who are like that?
Well, yes, sort of.
I own a chunk of Epic, and every year I get some stock to Roots & Wings, which is the foundation.
And then Roots & Wings, it's more complex than this, sells it to Epic.
Do you know why it's called Roots & Wings?
When your kids... When my two younger kids were in the car, I was driving them somewhere.
Maybe they were five and ten at the time.
I asked them, what are the two things your parents need to give you?
And so they looked at each other.
