What a day I am having.
And it's not even 2 p.m.
here on the West Coast.
Thanks for having me on, guys.
So looking at the lineup today, plus having our number five starter out there, my confidence was not super high in us pulling this one out today.
Offensively, certainly a grind.
And while it wasn't his best,
stuff, I would say.
I really like what I'm seeing out of Patrick Corbin, just as a semi-calming presence in that number five spot, and mix that with the fact that there's no other lefty starters for the Jays now with Lauer in the bullpen.
I think it's a good idea to keep him in the rotation.
I think it's a good mix to give your opponents a different look there.
Look, this is the type of game that we were losing all the time earlier this month, because
we really couldn't get those, those somewhat stable five innings, two runs that we've always, you know, gave up that six or seven spot.
And then, you know, from there the game was basically lost.
Uh, so I just like that stability there.
And I think, you know, if we're having a Scherzer versus Corbin, uh, debate, I think that for me right now, it's Corbin.
Um, the last time I talked, I talked about Hoffman putting him in leverage spots against the bottom of the order.
And I think that's obviously that's what happened today.
And I think he was used absolutely perfectly.
