It's a pretty amazing story in itself.
He lived 20 minutes away from me my entire life.
And I've never met him.
Pretty nuts.
Yeah.
When I was prepping for this interview, I just, I wasn't thinking of a lot of things, but I was like, make sure you tell everyone what a great mum mum was and what a great person she is.
Cause, uh,
The thing about mum and why I got so sad that her mental illness took her away from me was because that's someone I love.
I was just in love with my mum.
She was just so sweet and kind and thoughtful and funny.
And we just had a real rapport.
We had a bond from such a young age.
She was a mothercraft nurse in the late 70s.
So I had a mum who actually went to school to learn how to be a mum.
I mean, how lucky am I?
So I just remember her spoiling me and carrying me to bed or scratching my back or, you know, cooling my toast because I liked it cool.
Lots of little favours.
I wanted to watch the second instalment of Sesame Street in the afternoon, even though I'd watched it in the morning and mum wanted to watch The Sullivans.
But I remember putting my little foot down and getting my way.
So she's very kind.
