It was just a matter of what's true, what's not. And is somebody ever going to come to the forefront and really say like, these are my experiences with this guy.
That video will follow him for the rest of his life.
That is a video you don't recover from. Regardless of whatever money you wanna donate, or whatever charities you wanna align yourself with, or whatever music you wanna create, people will always remember that video. And that video, is just as important, if not more, than any hit record he's ever created because he denied those allegations.
So all these other lawsuits that are levied against him, yes, there are some wild claims in those lawsuits, but now he doesn't have the benefit of the doubt anymore, if he ever did to begin with, but he definitely doesn't now.
There was the Global Icon Award at the VMAs that really made me take a step back because he didn't perform with any artists. The only artist that was on stage with him was his son, Christian Combs. You would think at a moment like that when you're getting one of the most prestigious awards in award shows and nobody's on stage to perform with you, I'm like, this is kind of weird.

Diddy and Biggie were one of the biggest tag teams. Biggie came roaring out the gates with a single called Juicy, which if you know Biggie's story, he didn't necessarily want to record that song at first. And it was Diddy's insistence that basically forced him to record that song. And obviously the song became a hip hop classic.
Sides get to barking with each other, things spill out in the parking lot, and one of Suge's closest friends is murdered in the parking lot.
The only two people left were the label heads. Suge's career was never truly the same after Tupac's murder. Death Row pretty much crumbled in the months after that. But Diddy? Diddy became an even bigger star.
And now Diddy is an established artist on top of an already established executive. So his star power really began to rise.
So Burroughs is allegedly telling Diddy, you'll have your chance to get another cover, but Biggie will never come out with another album. Give him that moment. And according to Burroughs, Diddy basically says, no, he's dead. This is my time now.
