Yeah, no, you have to avoid intent if you're going to put new restrictions in place.

I think it would be as simple as you can't be in the five worst records two years in a row.

And if you are, you get sent to the back of the first round or something like that, where it's just purely based on objective data, which is record.

And at that point, like maybe that's too harsh.

Because maybe two years isn't enough.

Maybe we could do research into like what is an appropriate amount in order to, in air quotes, rebuild.

I do think that one of the problems and probably the easiest one to address is long-term tanking as opposed to teams just doing it in spades.

And I tend to find that we end up in the same place with these sorts of conversations, which is like, well, it's up to the league ultimately, and they're not going to do it because of money, because they're the ones kind of ushering this in.

The owners are the ones in control.
