I did have another quick story about perplexity.
It does seem that all the stories for this week seem a little, not dubious, but a little existential here.
So, Perplexity AI is apparently facing a proposed class action lawsuit filed on Tuesday in federal court in San Francisco.
The complaint alleges that as soon as users log into Perplexity's homepage, tracking tools are downloaded onto their devices that give Meta and Google access to conversations between users and the AI search engine.
The lawsuit further alleges that data collection continues even when users enable perplexity's incognito mode.
It's a mining, data selling type of story.
