Our family had recently put down our very senior dog, Eos. I was walking my daughter to school And she asked me if we could get another dog. We were totally maxed out. We have two cats, two kids. And I said, the only way we'll ever adopt another dog is if one is put into our path who desperately needs a home and has no one else to help it.

But just like in the meantime, to help with Tucker's immediate needs, she brought him home and we bathed him and we fed him and we hugged him.
