news when you want it with bloomberg news now i'm karen moscow we have new developments in the immigration crackdown in minneapolis with the president agreeing to end the enforcement surge in minnesota and we have more on that in just a moment first a look at the opening bell on wall street the dow jones industrial average is on the rise this morning on a busy week for earnings up four tenths of a percent at the open

The S&P 500 up three-tenths of a percent, the Nasdaq up a quarter percent at the open, and the 10-year Treasury yield at 4.15 percent.

While the immigration crackdown in Minnesota that led to mass detentions, protests, and two deaths is coming to an end, that's according to Border Czar Tom Homan.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement launched Operation Metro Surge on December 1st.

Federal authorities say the sweeps focused on the Minneapolis-St.

Paul metro area and they've led to the arrest of more than 4,000 people.

Still, Homan signaled that enforcement actions would continue, saying that a small footprint of personnel will remain for a period of time to close out and transition full command and control back to the field office.
