Money is not typically going to be enough of a leash to keep somebody working for you if the environment does not suit your life.
At some point, you make... Everybody has different money needs, I understand.
But at some point, you rise to... Some of these salaries we were hearing about and bonuses and stuff were...
Insane.
I mean, insane compared to what I make, right?
Insane.
And so at some point you go, well, I mean, I guess my standard of living could raise.
I could now live in a penthouse and still be sort of house poor, right?
But at some point, you've passed that mark of, I'm safe.
I will now have enough money invested that I will probably always have a roof over my head.
I will have food to eat.
My child will be provided for, whatever that is.
And I think, I don't know, I'm not there, obviously, but I've certainly known a lot of personal people who have worked for Facebook or Meta over the years who
And there's a very similar across many departments.
I mean, that's not a small company, but you hear very similar things in terms of how people are treated, people are whatever.
And I just think like they churn through people and then they try to throw tons of money at the best people, the best and the brightest.
But then you get somebody like Yann LeCun, who's like, you don't talk to me, a researcher like me like that.
You know, and he's out the door.
