But we started telling her.
I think we were so worried about enforcing that she was pretty.
You know, because there's this thing in society where like you don't want to tell little girls are pretty all the time because then they'll prioritize being pretty.
Like you're just trying to do the best by your children.
And so we didn't say it.
We thought telling her she's pretty, she doesn't need to hear that.
But then we started telling her.
We were like, you know what?
Like, she needs to be told that she's pretty.
But she needs to be told she's pretty in moments where she's not tried anything.
She's not dressed up in a nice dress.
She hasn't, like, done anything.
She needs to be told she's pretty after she's done a great piece of art or after she's cleaned up her playroom or anything.
After she's come out of soccer practice and she's covered in rain and she's like had such a hard and she's sweaty and she's this.
That's when she's she needs to be told she's pretty in in times that are not extraordinary in just normal daily life.
Because I am we're now trying to reinforce that that that positive self image, which is really hard.
