what I would love to do with my career and hopefully over the coming decades is just be true to myself and true to the stories that I need and want to tell.

So I'm just given hope knowing that you're being supported and that you've got this...

I mean, I think film industry has an awful lot of learning still to do.

It is extremely patriarchal still, sadly.

And there's been a lot of research done in the past six months to a year about women's roles in Hollywood and directors, women as directors.

And very unfortunately, I have to report, we've taken a massive step back.

this year not forward but my answer to that or point on that is when the rest of the world isn't such a patriarchal stronghold why would film be any better or different so we have a lot a lot to do and yeah I mean so many incredible stories to be told and so many brilliant women out there to tell them
