A little trivia, live trivia.
I was a sophomore in college.
And a lot of voters weren't born at that point.
It was Kathleen Brown.
It was Kathleen Brown and the sister of the governor, the daughter of the governor.
So there is real people have a hard time believing something they haven't seen.
I have a new appreciation in this race for what it means to go first.
In a lot of my life, I wasn't necessarily a first.
I wasn't the first woman even elected to represent my district in Orange County.
I was the first Democrat in a long time, but I beat a woman to get there.
In the Senate race, I was running with Barbara Lee, right, an iconic woman.
And so the dynamics were โ I think the gender dynamic and the discussion was different.
I also think people are really sad that we have Donald Trump as president.
and are trying to assign kind of why that might be and how to understand that.
