So you start to get into conversations where the best man wins.

That's what this was supposed to be all along.

But when you have so many injuries, things like having options or your position come into it.

All of these factors that are not just who's the best ball player.

The Blue Jays have not had that option enough, but I think that's coming.

And that can kind of get to what O-Dog mentioned earlier, that point where it starts to turn.

The Jays just haven't been able to capture that identity yet because this is not who they thought would be here.

Absolutely, man.

And credit to Patrick Corbin.

I remember when I saw the text message I got that the Blue Jays were signing Corbin, I thought to myself, man, this is getting bleak.

And he has looked great.

He has done a really, really impressive job.

They paid him a million bucks.

He's been worth a lot more than that.

So credit to him for sticking, and I think he will stick.

Tomorrow, Max Scherzer, tomorrow morning, is going to throw about two innings to hitters here at the Dome.

And then Shane Bieber, maybe we're talking about him being, let's say, a month away as he's slowly building up.

The Blue Jays still need another pitcher to step in to that place that's been vacated by Dylan Cease.

Maybe that's Chad Dallas, CJ Van Eyck, we'll see.

But they're running out of options.
