You can't keep hovering around three, four, five games below 500, but they're facing good pitching.

Man, the Rays are a real test.

Yeah, and last year was, I feel like, the one outlier.

Because last year, the Blue Jays played kind of Rays-style baseball, which is airtight, clean baseball, and you make the other team screw up first.

Like, when the Rays are good, outside of, man, Caminero, like, they don't have overwhelming star power.

When you list their lineup on a sheet of paper, it's not going to scare you.

But they play tight, clean, good baseball.

And over the years, that's what's made them so good.

And sometimes, guys, I don't like it when either the Blue Jays themselves or fans talking about the team say, oh, it's the Rays magic, the trop is cursed.

If that was the case, the Rays would win every single World Series.

The Blue Jays are the problem.

Not the Rays being a super team in this situation.

And for years and years, the Blue Jays would be the team against the Rays to make that first mistake.

And sometimes that starts to feel like dark magic and like the world is against you.

But last year, the Blue Jays flipped that.

They were the team that played airtight baseball.

You made the other team blink first.

Now it's kind of reverted.

They're really well coached.
