If it's not for Okamoto, we are only talking about Vladdy right now.

And the Blue Jays would be in a much worse situation.

But Okamoto is playing better than I thought we would see him play all year.

And it's happening already.

Okamoto has been outstanding.

He's been their MVP.

But that's covered up, the complete lack of power from Vladdy.

And this lineup, this team is built to succeed with Vladdy hitting for power.

They need that to happen because the rest of the lineup's not doing it.

If Vladdy was surrounded by Aaron Judges and Cal Rollies and a bunch of home run hitters, cool, just get on base, whatever.

But right now, his stat line looks like a stat line I would expect to see from a speedy, small outfielder.

And Vladdy is none of those things.

They need him to be the power hitter.

They need him to be a guy that breaks games open.

They do not need him to be a guy that's hitting singles the other way.

Yeah, it's still good.

But when you're as talented as Vladdy, and when you're making 500 million bucks...

You've got to be greedy.
