And you hear like Ansbacher accounts and you hear all these different things and you kind of go, that'll put the fear of God in anybody.
And then our last recession, that was a
totally pulled out the housing market.
And it was based on mortgages and subprime loans and all that kind of thing.
But that caused the stock market to go through the floor.
And that's in a lot of our living memories.
So the thoughts of investing is really scary.
But nowadays, goalposts have changed.
Careers have changed.
We don't have these for life anymore.
You don't know what the future is going to bring.
And when you invest over the long term, even small amounts...
That's an extra cushion that you have in the background.
And it's something that we need to be comfortable with, because if you want to break that glass money ceiling, if you want to kind of get ahead truly in life, and not everyone like hearing that, you're going to have to understand investing because your job will give you your income.
It will give you your savings and hopefully it will give you your pension.
But to level up and become somebody who is independent and be able to stand on their own two feet and have a choice whether to work or not, you need to understand investments.
And investments can be stock market, which is what I specialize in, as you're probably blue in the face for knowing, but it is really important.
But it could be real estate, could be any number of things.
But get comfortable with small little bits of
educate yourself, understanding what you're doing.
