There's Interactive Brokers.
There are as many platforms as there are insurance companies out there.
So you have a huge choice and they are getting better.
They are getting more sophisticated and they are getting more user friendly.
But take your time with this.
What will I see when I go on those platforms?
They'll each be slightly differently, but you will be able to see what's happening in markets.
There's a lot of noise on them as well.
And I think when somebody logs onto them first, it can seem like a lot if you're not familiar with it.
But it's like getting into a car for the first time.
You've indicators and lights and fog lights and buttons and you've rules in the road and you've pedestrians.
You've all these different things going on and it's a lot.
But once you get used to it, you kind of tune out the things that don't matter to you and you can focus on the things that do.
And then the big thing then is just to keep tabs on things.
Don't fiddle too much.
Most of the work when it comes to investing is done before you even open the platform.
The platform won't educate you.
It is just the place where you go and buy your ETFs or your shares.
From my experience, I tend to prefer the more boring apps.
I would be very wary of an algorithmic-led platform.
