You can see Matt Loughton just goes into his back, gives him a little push.
and he takes the fall, and listen, is it enough to maybe go down like that?
Possibly not, but there's definitely contact.
You can't say there's not any contact.
This is what VAR would have seen, but there's the push there.
His hand's definitely going to his back frame, don't they?
Yeah, they certainly do, and you can see what Callum's obviously complaining about, but for me, I think he's still waiting for a foot to be stuck out, and he'll trip over that, and the foot actually doesn't come out, so he ends up obviously just going down
fresh air really so that's why probably you know VAR changes it Paul Tierney in Stockley Park decides that it isn't going to be a penalty I hate talking about it because it's getting boring I think for everybody but the problem with VAR is still everyone goes there thinks that's going to be we're going to get the answer now and it's going to be definitive it's still only a matter of opinion it's only one person's you know feelings against another it's not like it's matter of fact is it over the line or not that is just a matter of opinion so you're not always going to get it right rather than a
I think so.
But the first thing he said to the referee is the push that he feels.
He knows he wasn't kicked.
It's not a great deal of contact, but I've seen them given for a lot less than that.
Yeah, the conversation about VAR is always about where is the bar in order to overturn the decision that's given on the field.
Where do you think the bar was in that one?
In the right place?
Too high?
Too low?
Off it up.
I think if the referee is going to give the penalty, then I think you stick with it because the bar has been set that high.
When you look back at it again, I suppose if you're on Burnley's side and it goes against you, you think that's a very cheap penalty.
