And so they said, oh, let's try you out with Fred.
Right.
So they gave me the brief.
I went out there on a morning and I had staked it out the night before, had a look up the street.
There's no way I could park a car or a van, a white van with dark windows, anywhere in the street.
So I parked two streets away.
the other side of the railway line and I got my army greens on with a scrim net which I brought from the army.
I still had all my army gear.
In the middle of Marrickville?
Middle of Marrickville, along the railway line in the bushes and I went in there at five in the morning just before daylight and I laid in the bushes.
No one would find me unless they walked in the bush.
So you'd have to walk in.
And yes, occasionally it did happen.
Someone would walk in the bush and nearly step on me and I'd jump up and scare the daylights out of them.
But that's the risk you took.
I realised there was a footpath where a lot of pedestrians walked by, but nobody should be walking in the bush next to the railway line.
I mean, that wouldn't make sense, right?
So I took the chance and I got into that bush and once he was comfortable, there's no one watching him, I was able to film, you know, him physically dragging these big fridges and washers and all these things on a trolley and lifting and I got amazing footage.
And I took it back...
And that case became quite famous in the office.
