Do you train too much when everyone's telling you to train harder?
Lift your standards?
You're doing all these things, but your players are breaking down.
So it's a club challenge for both Richmond and Essendon.
And unfortunately, they've had a bad night.
It looks like there might be even another injury at VFL this morning for Richmond.
Well, I'm not sure where it all sits, Gerard.
I'm learning the caper a little bit because I'm listening to Brad and I'm listening to what he's saying about his connection with the board and expectations and the current reality of the list and all the things that I'm hearing.
So I'm just assuming this is just another part of the evolution of
of Essendon, albeit a slow one.
But then I hear on the other side the rhetoric around, well, if he didn't win last night, he loses his job.
So, Ken, I'm not sure how to deal with it from a media point of view because I'm probably used to the stoic rhetoric that I'm hearing from Brad rather than the rumblings
from the likes of Tom Morris and co about what might be happening behind closed doors.
So it's hard to really read what's happening publicly, but internally, they're bleeding internally in terms of results.
Well, that's the challenge for Brad.
Regardless of the noise, how do you stay motivated when you're planning your footy trip at round 11?
That was always the challenge I had as a player and as a coach.
And, you know, it's a long year when you've won one game in the first 10 weeks.
It's happened to me a couple of times in trying to be a good leader.
and motivate and it's not just your players it's your coaching staff it's the football staff trying to get everyone in a bit of positivity come Monday and when you get these injuries on top of the other challenges it's really hard it would be a dark place at Essendon at the moment in terms of everything it's not there's no other than a few young players that we see some light with there's not a lot of positivity
