So these are the types of things that have not endeared John Cornyn to the Republican voters of Texas.

And it's really obvious that after 20, you said he's been there a while. He's working on 24 years in the Senate. When he finishes and he wants to be there 30, the people of Texas have had enough of 24.

I said the same thing after I went through a brutal primary with three people running against me who were all well-funded, including George P. Bush. And I went through a runoff and I overwhelmingly won that by 38 points. Then they said, well, he can't win. We got it to replace it because he didn't win the general election, which is what they always say. And then I've always won it.

And Abbott spent, you know, 150 or more and he won by 11. So it's just not true. My numbers come out very similar. And that's always the argument that,

So I would say this. I've done this for 12 years, and I love it. And I think it's time. I think holding on to office is too long. I think you lose some of your freshness. And I think it's time for a change. I think it's time for me to change. I think it's time for John Korn to change. I think that we have people coming up the ranks that could potentially win this.
