New guy always gets the top bunk.
So I'm sitting there and the ceiling's like right here and right here is a big rat hole.
Shit, anyway, and a light bulb.
And so I'll never forget about several days in, Jose, my cellmate, who was the toughest guy on the block, and he goes, hey, Ming, hey, Florida.
He goes, you ain't taken a shit since you've been here.
I didn't think about it.
So in the middle of the night, I kind of sneak over to the new stainless steel, and I hear Jose yell like halfway, amen, man, like gracias, senor.
So that was the big event, kind of.
No showers.
I don't remember ever seeing a shower when I was there for two weeks.
I don't remember that they had a shower.
And finally, one day, my brother comes with the bond.
I make bond.
