And both of their cases highlight the importance of personal safety, specifically runner safety.
And obviously, being abducted while on a run is something that disproportionately affects women.
And as much as I hate that the responsibility gets put on us, it is on us, really, to learn how to better protect ourselves.
That's just the world we live in.
We have to be prepared.
It's the sad reality of things.
And I know every time I cover a case like this and I talk about this, people are like, it shouldn't be our fault.
It shouldn't be our responsibility.
And I agree with you.
I'm not trying to scare people.
I'm not trying to tell people not to run or not, you know, to go outside and be scared.
athletic or to hike, but it is important to know the facts and know how to protect yourself.
I mentioned this in Eliza's video, and I'm not currently running because I'm very pregnant, but when I do run, I always do it on the treadmill inside because I feel scared to run outside, and I hate that we live in that world.

It's actually a goal of mine to eventually start to do that one day.
I know it can be such a relaxing thing.
So good for your mental health.
And I don't want to discourage anyone from doing that.
