You know, it's certainly a number that is kind of hard to wrap my head around.
It's been a long time now, 30-plus years, and there are actually folks who keep these lists of national broadcasts that a lot of us have done, so it's an honor to be up there with so many other amazing names.
And last night in particular was a tremendous game.
You could feel the excitement in the arena.
It was tense, you know, as the game continued.
extended into the third period with no score and then into overtime.
And for the Philadelphia Flyers and their fans, when that puck went in the net, it had been a long time.
They hadn't been in the playoffs since 2020 in the bubble.
And their last playoff series win on home ice was way back in 2012.
After winning the first three games of this series, you could feel some nervousness in the building after Pittsburgh won the next two.
the Flyers were able to get it done last night and move on to face Carolina.
Absolutely, and from a broadcast standpoint, when I think back,
Our crew had the Winnipeg-St.
Louis Game 7 overtime last year.
I've worked several others, but once you get to that point, even though it was Game 6, you know that if one team wins, they're moving on, and if the other team wins, they're forcing a Game 7.
So certainly a lot at stake, and it was a lot of fun to be a part of.
Well, I think even before this series in particular, down the stretch, adding some of the
the youth, the enthusiasm, the skill of the young players.
