yeah, this is really loud.
We feel the kick drum coming through our chest.
It has to be something more than that.
And I'm not sure which songs did that, honestly.
But I can tell when I'm looking out into the audience that this has meant something more to them than just hearing it on the radio.
I mean, they've lived with it.
And there's a spiritual part of that that I never knew existed at East Tennessee State or when I was in the Bluegrass Band or my first 13 years on the road.
There's a connective tissue that I would like to think that is spiritual in nature, like a common thing they all felt.
I know people that it takes for them to go on stage at nine o'clock, they have to start getting ready at two in the afternoon.
And I don't know how to explain this, but I can be ready to go in four minutes.
You can turn it on like a light switch.
And I can let it go like that.
Like, I'm so thankful, like I talked about earlier, that I don't carry that persona with me in my everyday life.
It just wouldn't work for my life now.
I've let that ego part go, thanks to a lot of nights in the jungle, right?
So that ego part of me is gone.
