You know, even working in late night was a bit of a now 20 plus year diversion because, you know, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do after I left school and moved down to La La Land, Joe.
And thought, you know, I actually thought I wanted to maybe work in episodic television.
But the very first job I got was as a writer's assistant, the only one that was seemingly available for a new show called Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher.
And it stuck around long enough that they promoted me to writer and I was there for six years.
And then I worked for Dennis Miller for a number of years.
But that ended, that show was canceled.
And now I'm in my early 30s.
And I kind of didn't even know that this was necessarily my calling or my career.
I certainly enjoyed it.
But I wasn't certain what was going to happen now that I'm in my mid 30s, early 30s.
