Today on this IndoDaily Extra, the government is a minister down.
Michael Healy-Ray has announced his resignation from government as Minister for State for Forestry, Farm Safety and Horticulture in a sudden shock statement in the Dáil.
It means the fuel crisis is far from over for the government.

I said to you when this government was formed that Michael Healy-Ray would not last a year as minister.
He has lasted a year and 81 days.
I was wrong.
Got a bit of abuse at that point.

Which is unusual for the Healy Rays and Kerry.
You mentioned, Fiona, that the government or the Taoiseach presumably only found out a few minutes before he went into the Dáil chamber and announced this.
Interestingly, in his short speech, and it was a short speech because that way he had to use the time allotted,
He took a swipe at the Taoiseach and implied that it was Micheál Martin who hasn't been listening to the people more than anybody else.
I thought that was interesting.
Well, notably, the Taoiseach and the Tánaiste were both gone from the chamber.
They weren't actually sitting there when Michael Healy-Ray landed it out there.
