I totally understand is a brutal loss.
I was rooting for you guys.
And yeah, that yeah, I'm sorry.
It's okay, man.
Really, really special.
Yeah, it's a great question.
It's been incredibly special.
And I think for whatever, like maybe my generation of millennials or like whatever kind of millennial I am, I think a lot of us for a long time felt you couldn't have music and sports coexisting.
And then at some point we all realized, oh, yes, you can.
Yeah, it really does bring out this great sense of community.
And what I've found is, you know, most like all musicians love, love, even if they don't follow sports and they don't know all the stats or anything, they have some history with, you know, playing a sport as a kid and they're eager to
get back out there and and go watch it or you know be a part of it so it's really amazing and then you know growing up and my dad uh you know we really bonded over baseball then yeah my last first pitch that I threw out was for the Monarchs and he got to catch the first pitch so it's all come full circle in this really beautiful way it's really really great that's awesome I I guess yeah throwing it to your dad at the Monarchs game better than throwing it to the mascot at the Royals game
Definitely.
I really just want to put it into the air.
I want to throw another first pitch for the Royals, and I want my dad to catch that one.
My dad's a huge Salvi fan, as we all are.
You know, I think the Royals have a long history of being awful, and they're not great right now.
But we got Bobby Witt, and I think the thing with Bobby Witt, and there's other great players, of course, Salve's a legend, but I think Bobby Witt is like the future of the team, and it's like, at the end of the day, having this sort of generational shortstop star is, I don't know, it's enough to get excited about.
Dude, I was playing, what is it, the Opera House in Toronto on the day they won, and I was in a Raptors jersey, just to answer that question.
Literally the day they won, I don't know if it was game six or something, but I was on stage in a Raptors jersey.
