memories of it being my 100 tests and everyone being there to support me and things so um yeah it's a mix one definitely as all black team i think we came off and it felt like a loss yeah yeah yeah um and as it should i think it you know you want it to keep mean something to you so um yeah definitely it was a tough one and how did you find that with all the i guess the public um
Oh, mate, I'm a pretty laid-back character around those things.
I kind of just water off a duck's back in a lot of ways.
You know when things aren't going quite right, and you can feel that within yourself and within the team.
And we had a few periods like that across my time, early on when I was playing and then when I was a captain.
And so you're doing everything you can to fix it internally, right?
my so my way i handled it was just trying to stay away and it was more media stuff the social media did come in back into my career um and i made a conscious effort just to put it to a side like if i had to post something i post it i'm not going to go look at any comments yeah why would i look at comments because all the positive ones if i take in the positive ones i'm going to take in that one negative one yeah and you're taking in one negative one it's going to really have an effect on you so
You just have a structure around it that can help you.
And so, yeah, I purposely just stayed away.
Stayed away from anything where I could read stuff.
Like as a captain, you're talking to the media all the time and from the questions they're asking you, you know what they're going to write.
It affects how many times you tell your mum not to... They don't know what they're talking about.
