What we were showing them is that this is how we're different and this is how we are the same. And I always tell the story of this little Jewish man that I met in a bank who squeezed my arm and said, I love you girls. You girls are beautiful. I'm from Brooklyn, too. I love you girls. I love the queen. I love all the girls.

And here they were telling us what our audience looked like and sounded like. And it was actually much wider. Much wider. He absolutely watched it.

And it was a beautiful blend. No one was like anyone else. We were all very, very different. And I think we each, each of the characters and each of us represented a different aspect of culture and the culture that was happening at the time. And it just worked.
