Today, let's explore a little TikTok trend that has no name, but it is colorful and very narcissistic.

Last year about this time, TikTok users began noticing other people posting messages using yellow or pink fonts.
The trend spread quickly.
Yellow and pink are now everywhere on TikTok.
Yellow means the writer is sharing something very private and raw.
Pink is the sentimental counterpart to yellow, but still very personal and, again, raw.
Now, you may ask, if it's so deeply personal, why would anyone publish it to the entire world?
Psychologists call this curated vulnerability or virtue signaling, as in, look at me, look how deeply I feel.
Either way, it's narcissistic.
And the only cure is to put down the phone, get off TikTok, and realize the world really doesn't care about your little feelings.
