I think the Spurs are going to learn a little bit in this first two weeks of this real playoff run for them.
The stat of the year for Victor Wembanyama, defensive player of the year, is that the only question is he going to be unanimous, which he should be, is every NBA team this year, Zach Lowe, has an effective field goal percentage between 52 and 58.
Whenever Victor Wembanyama is on the court, the opponent's effective field goal percentage is below 50.
He is the most impactful.
He turns every offense in the NBA he faces into something less efficient than the Brooklyn Nets offense this year, which is just a stunning...
demonstration of, of what's going to happen, uh, for the years to come.
And we're not really good at quantifying defensive impact, but he just, you know, he just takes away so many two point opportunities, uh, for, for opponents.
Uh, and again, with Denny specifically as the offensive engine of Portland, I think that's especially relevant in this series.
That does surprise me.
